Shahadat Hussain, PhD is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Mechanical Engineering at Khalifa University's ADAM Lab (Abu Dhabi, UAE). Specializing in additive manufacturing, he investigates the fabrication, characterization, and performance of NiTi shape memory alloys and triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattice structures (including Schwartz primitive and Schoen gyroid architectures). His work integrates laser powder bed fusion, advanced microstructural analysis (SEM, XRD, EDS, TEM, DSC), mechanical testing (tensile/fatigue on Instron machines), constitutive modeling, and Python-based data visualization (pandas, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, seaborn) to advance porous, cellular, and architected metamaterials.
With a PhD in Materials Science and Technology from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (CSIR-AMPRI, India), Dr. Hussain has authored 7+ peer-reviewed publications in journals such as the Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance and Journal of Manufacturing Processes. Passionate about innovative, high-performance functional materials, he welcomes collaborations on shape memory alloys, fatigue behavior, and 3D printing applications.
